Imagine
by Eyal de Leeuw | 22.11.12Ten words: Yoko Ono. Special collection for Opening Ceremony: “Fashion for Man”. Do we need more? The collection is inspired by John Lennon’s and based on sketches she gave him as a gift in 1969. The sketches will published in a book and, along with the collection, will be sold at Opening Ceremony’s stores everywhere. ““I was inspired to create ‘Fashions for Men’ amazed at how my man was looking so great. I felt it was a pity if we could not make clothes emphasizing his very sexy bod,” explained Ono of the original impetus for her designs 43 years ago, which are only now coming to fruition. “So, I made this whole series with love for his hot bod and gave it to him as a wedding present. You can imagine how he went wild and fell in love with me even more”, she told WWD.
