Collection de Babar

by Eyal de Leeuw | 31.03.13

He is a true gentleman who likes to wear bright green suits, a royal who introduced western attire to his compatriots in the jungle and his character appeared in the iconic series The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Written by French author Jean de Brunhoff, King Babar the Elephant first appeared in 1931 and translated to English by A.A Milne in 1933.
70 years later Babar’s sartorial character finds its way into fashion as Danish brand Soulland becomes the first menswear company to license the artwork into a new collection.

The collection will launch in Colette this month and will appear also at Opening Ceremony (New York, Los Angeles), Goodhood (London), Hunting & Collecting (Brussels), SOTO (Berlin) and Voo (Berlin).
