Adieu Ann

by Eyal de Leeuw | 23.11.13

The announcement that of Ann Demeulemeester is exiting her own brand came as a sad but elegant autumn storm. The Belgian designer presented her first men’s collection in 1996 and her influential bohemian goth look, together with the famous deconstructive Antwerp style, will remain forever in fashion.
The Garçonnière is saying goodbye through the work of  photographer Erik Madigan Heck from 2010. In a series called “Ann Demeulemeester: Male Retrospective, 1996-2009″ Madigan Heck captured the true spirit of the brand, as the models were wearing Demeulemeester’s pieces from each past collection.
