Socks and The Cityby Eyal de Leeuw | 06.11.16
When Happy Socks, a Swedish brand, launched its new project Local Hero, it asked 15 global markets to choose a local icon to design a pair of their own. Story, the local Tel Avivian distributor picked artist, dancer and choreographer Uriel Yekutiel to design a new pair of Happy Socks; with a clear homage to the funny, sexy and colorful Tel Aviv.
To celebrate the new design, Story commissioned photographer Orit Pnini to create an exhibition, photographing 10 Tel Avivians who represent our vibrant, free and creative city. Here are the final photos by Pnini, showing off some of the coolest Tel Avivians who are celebrating the socks’ design, and the city that we love.
