Man of Silk

Designer Idan Laros is a rare bird in the local fashion scene, an independent soul with signature style of his own. Known for his romantic and feminine silhouette and love for silk – Laros has now launched a whimsical men’s collection. We sat and chat with him about his new surprising project.

Hi Idan, when did you think of designing clothes for men?
It started with receiving requests from friends about what I was wearing, clothes I design for myself. So I was making small quantities, selling few pieces. Slowly it developed into a whole collection that I made for the beautiful men here.

What are your inspiration for the men’s collection?
It is an organic continuation for the women’s line, only I added up heavy 70’s style, some Hugh Hefner looks and a lot of rock and roll.

What can we find in the this collection?
In the collection you have few silk suits and cotton silk suits, lots of cool tops that can fit with jeans and blazers. Basically I like mixing street wear with true elegance – both naturally synchronized in my world.
